I run clear in some (25w). I like the lower wattage so I can see the lens details.

I also have some with colored bulbs in them: I have a CH beacon with frosted red behind the command lenses and another with amber behind the amber lenses. It looks good.

The frosted makes the bulb too visible IMO.

Clear 40 or 60 watt bulbs, Home Depot specials :crazy:
