Option B. Spray with one of those "cold galvanizing compound" spraypaints. (Silver)

I was thinking silver also, since that would have been the original unpainted color of the steel. I have some Rust-Oleum #7515 Aluminum paint that I used on my Darley, it's a dull silver non-metallic.

In case you run across another hole in a signal you want to easily patch and powdercoat, you can use this Lab Metal.

Thanks for the beacon pic Mark....I have the Darley 4-way primed and want to use that same paint....gives me a good example of how it will look! Not going to paint the hanger the same though :Wink2:

I'm picking up the signal from the powder coater tomorrow, :hyper: I would pick it up today but they are closed, DAMN HOLIDAYS!!!! It was actually ready Friday, but I was busy at a work related function.

May everyone take a moment to remember our fallen soldier's and loved one's that are no longer with us this Memorial Day.

God Bless them all!

:hello:

Picked up the signal from the powder coater earlier today, overall I'm pleased with the color and job that they did. The body casting was a little rough after they media blasted it, there were flaws that were revealed afterwards that were not evident before. Here are some pic's of the assembly so far, the wire came in the mail today so the sockets still need to be re-wired.

When I cleaned the body up originally, it appeared that felt was used for the door gasket's, so I used black felt to replace the old.

Looking really good there Mark!

It also looks like you ordered your wire from Rhode Island wiring(exact same wire as I purchased), great wire and wonderful service.

Mark,

That is one awesome Novalux. Nice job! I really like the green powder coat, and the brass hardware looks awesome too.

Ok, I got it all back together and if I'm able to toot my own horn, I think this project turned out awesome. I was going to take some pictures outside, but it started raining, it is Florida. :Phil: I brought it in the house to take some pic's, and I'll try to put some power to it later tonight. ;)

I didn't paint the back's of the reflector's yet, I wanted to see what they looked like with a mild cleaning. I kind of like them the way they are, and I haven't figured out what I want to use to fill the back of the socket's.
