Detroit: Clifford and Bagley resurrected

Postby JVC8230 on Thu Sep 19, 2013 4:38 pm

Clifford and Bagley has been a popular stop on the DSM circuit for 3 years in a row. It has been in flash for over a year now and just a month ago, one mast was sawed off to make room for movie filming in the area.

The interesting thing is the pole clamp. These have not been very common around the city. Highland Park featured these and still does on a few leftover intersections still in service with this mast:

What movie was it??

And is that a 3 way poly that replaced that??
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

Put up a new 3 way RYG cluster.....

...in an intersection already in permanent flash mode

Detroit Logic never ceases to amaze me :Phil:

That wasn't a detroit call....

When film companies sign "leases" they state "Will return to original condition." So detroit was paid for access, and the film studio returned the scene to as leased condition by paying a 3rd party contractor to do so.

Correct.

I forget what they were filming. Very elaborate Oriental-looking city set.

The intersection is fully-operational RYG again after being in flash...only problem is that they wired the ped indications backwards :Phil:

They are set builders... not signal techs :Phil:

It's actually running again?
I was thinking the movie company was going to replace everything with new equipment.
I couldn't tell if it was hit on purpose for the film or to make room for their crane equipment.

Either way it ended up part of the set.
I have some photos I took, they twisted the mast arm until the end was almost touching the ground :glare:

It was the latest Transformers.
