Hi Folks,

Another one of our projects we hope to complete this week is hanging another porcelain lamp out on the side of our home over the walkway.

We picked up this porcelain lamp in North Carolina a couple of weeks ago. Still needs the spray paint removed and a little touching up with automotive paint.

On Saturday, found a nice piece of conduit with a socket and fittings in the junk lot. Plan to clean all these parts, paint the conduit and attach the shade.

Think this will look nice over the walkway.

Cheers!

Hiya Folks,

We cleaned all the spray paint off the porcelain shade and it was chipped a little bit more than I had originally realized. This one will take some time with filling in the chipped areas and using automotive touch up paint on it. Another observation is this light is vented near the top to allow heat to escape and the lip of the shade curves up. This light was not meant to be used outside and was probably from a warehouse or shop.

Decided to use the shade we picked up with the red radial wave shades a month or so ago.

This is all the hardware assembled.

Will see how well it lights up the side over the walk way tonight.

After we repair the other white shade, think we will making it a hanging light in a corner on the front patio.

Cheers!
