1936 CH Catalog in Archive!

Postby vaughnsimon on Sat Mar 02, 2013 11:05 am

Thanks to the generosity of Nannerdawg (Rich) we now have a stunning copy of the 1936 Crouse Hinds Signal Catalog in the archive. Right now you will only find Rich's original "single-page per file" JPEG scans that I have organized into catalog sections. Over the next few days/weeks I will add multi-page .pdf files that will be more convenient to download and browse, but may lose some definition in the conversion process.

We can never have enough of these wonderful old documents! In particular, having catalog copies from multiple years creates an irreplaceable research resource for all to use. If you have something that's not in the archive, please consider donating some files.

THANKS RICH!!

The signal archive link (http://signal-archive.d-domains.net/) is always available in the "links" section of the forum.

Navigate yourself to the "Crouse Hinds" section, and then you will find the folder for the 1936 catalog. If you aren't familiar with the archive, you will find lots of other good stuff also!

If I knew how to maintain a server, which I don't, I would probably do the same thing. I keep a back up of my computer on a portable hard drive at my parent's house in case mine burns down or is broken into.

I was glad to make the donation for the cause, it only took me about 10 years to find a copy of this catalog. I am a firm believer in the archive and that information like this needs to be shared openly so it does not become lost forever.
