After noticing that all the call boxes were bagged and eventually pulled off the streets in Bloomfield NJ, I made some calls, tracked down the location of them, and arranged to take these pictures.

I spoke to the two guys that removed them, and they told me that they tried to be as gentle as possible dismantling them, so they are in relatively good condition. I "pulled" a couple of them, and they clicked away.
I also found out that the DPW has boarded up the old brick building on their site. It was once used as office space and storage, but was found to be HEAVILY contaminated with asbestos. It was originally a Bakelite factory!

Also boarded up inside, and I quote:
"A bunch of those old stamped steel road signs"
"some never been used pedestrian signals and Crouse Hinds mechanical controllers"
"a few boxes of old glass lenses that are smooth, the kind without the dimples in them"
"and [*poopoo*] loads of Bakelite stuff. Like old ear and mouth pieces
So far the call boxes have a stay of execution. The town is contemplating on selling them at one point, either individually in a lottery, or as a whole lot to the highest bidder.
