They have the break-off points like plastic......

But the words are molded into the lens like glass?

:hello:

The lenses are plastic. Dual-layered I suspect.

At last, an expert came to wire up my G+W lantern, as well as the singular 1986 ATS module! :grin: :grin: :grin:

It's very bright and the bulbs can get hot in seconds!
I might need a sliding lighting dimmer which you can get from Ikea!
I still need a round base though!

Just for laughs:

Very nice job on the signal! :good:
A cop pulled me over and said, "Papers..." So I replied, "Scissors! I win!" and drove off.

I have fitted smaller Philips brand globes, which don't get as hot and they are slightly dimmer!

And at a later date, I could get a solid state controller from Lights To Go!
They make 240v versions for export to outside countries including Australia!

Aargh!

<rant>
You people amaze me! For restoration, you'll use the EXACT size and patina of acorn nuts, even the ones with the extended dimple at the top - paying 1000% more for them than simple ones you can get at a hardware store..

And then you put FROSTED BULBS in them.

Seriously? One of the biggest component that affects light output?

Why! Why!! :hurl: :scratch: :dizzy: :Phil:
</rant>

Okay, I'm finished.

Edit to wonder.. they DO use clear bulbs over in UKL and AUS, yes? When I was over in France and England, I could have sworn that the lights had the sparkle of clear filaments.. but it's been a long while, so my memory could be weak..
