Okay, this is definitely not signal or sign related (well, somewhat tangentially so to signs I guess) but it doesn't fit in Street Furniture and I didn't want it getting lost in The Lounge. Perhaps we need to morph this forum into "Books and ephemera" or the like? :scratch:

Anyway, here it is. Over the years I've managed to accumulate some rather odd but interesting highway related tidbits.

I believe my collection of modern NorthEastern highway coins is complete (I don't believe they made a Bronx River Parkway coin):

The New York State Thruway

The Pennsylvania Turnpike

The New Jersey Turnpike

And lastly, The Garden State Parkway

Then I have my collection of NJ highway badges and IDs:

If you guys are real good, someday I'll post my collection of HoJo NJ and PA Turnpike collectors plates and other souvenirs. :crazy:

Thanks. I picked up all four of them off of :ebay:

over the course of 5 years or so.

I would imagine that they were produced in limited numbers. Do you know what the purpose of the minting was? Besides the obvious making money for the state thing... :this:

I just wish I'd saved one of the Triborough Bridge & Tunnel Authority tokens that were eliminated with the adoption of E-ZPass....
