EM, NEMA, whatever - if it controls a traffic signal, you can talk about it here.

US Traffic Model 3000 PC TS2"KERN"NEMA Controller

Postby ARIESHEART on Sat Jan 12, 2013 12:04 am

I just purchased this model a few weeks ago.I found out these units were used in New York City,Circa 2007.This was the first generation NEMA controller equipped with a USB port.It also has an eithernet port.I got the controller fired up and going.I wanted to program into an 8 phase(2 ring)configuration. It was previously used as a 2 phase configuration.Do I need to program anything on the"co-phase"sub-menu",phase ring assingments menu,and/or the simutaneous group menu?

You might look in the "utilities" menu for some default/initialization routines (just a guess here). I think of co-phase more with preemption.

I tried utilities menu. That menu can only be accessed through the ethernet link.No wonder why New York City wasted the original"KERN"controller. They now use a later version, which is much easier to program.Within the last few years, they now use"Peek ATC 1000"series controllers.

I'm afraid I cannot help you, but it would be nice to place that signal controller in one of Peek's ASTC cabinets.

The city of New York uses them, and I have to admit they are pretty nice. They are also compact, which I like.
