Colombian Traffic lights

Postby Stevejt66 on Sun Jan 23, 2011 11:00 am

Hi Folks,

Just got back from Colombia South America last week and was just wondering if anyone knows what brand signals they have there. They look different. I tried to upload the attachment, but the file is bigger than a pixel...LOL....If anyone needs to see a pic, I'll try to upload it to my photobucket account later....

Hey Steve!

What were you doing down in Columbia, if I can be so nosy? I went to Brazil in 1991 with a church group.

Hi Jerry,

A friend of mine I met here six years ago is from there, and his family still lives there in Bogota. So I stayed with him and his family... I was in Colombia for 11 days, after three days in Bogota, we flew to Cartegena and went to Covenas beach for the next six days. Water was great, his father has a beach house there and he hired maids and a servant to take care of us all. We didn't have to lift a finger! It was a great vacation!!! Beautiful country.... I just can't figure out what brand lights they use there. Interesting thing there is that a few seconds before the light turns green, the yellow light comes on while the red is still on to warn the drivers the light is about to change to green.

and Ed....LOLOL nope, that isn't me.....I wanted to stay out of jail....LOLOLOL

So does anyone have any idea what brand the Colombian signals are? They look similar to the ones I have seen in countries like England and others.....

They kind look a hybrid to Siemens Silumin and Siemens SG.
I have to do some research to find out..
