Hiya Folks,

We had to put everything away very quickly a couple of weeks ago due to a family medical emergency. Now that we are back home, trying to get back into finishing a couple of projects so I can start on a few others.

Was able to do a little touching up on the paint on the master flag mount light before we left. Today installed the wiring harness in the master.

Depending on what the weather brings us tomorrow and other chores we have to take care of, will try to mount the master light on the post.

Cheers!

Ok, thought we were done for the day. Kept looking at the post and the signals and before we knew it, we started assembly on the post.

This shows the slave light cabinet.

This is the master signal cabinet side.

We have to trim a few limbs on the nearby trees tomorrow before completing assembly. With the exception of a CH control box we plan to mount on the post, this flag mount signal should be in operation within a few days.

Cheers!

Hiya Folks,

In-between other chores and some running around this morning, managed to finish the wiring in the electrical junction box on the signals.
Image

Have the wiring leading to the base of the post. Going to place the TC-12 sequencer in a plastic peanut butter jar temporarily in the base until our CH control box is delivered next week.
Image

Wanting to see this monster operating soon.

We still have a couple of parts to assemble such as the reflectors with brackets, lenses in the doors, etc.

Cheers!

We have the sequencer temporarily installed.

Hard to get a decent photo on the inside of the base.

At least we are making some progress today.

Cheers!

Hi Folks,

We are getting near to seeing some more lights.....
These parts are assembled and ready to be installed later today (we hope) depending on a couple of errands we need to do.

Hi Folks,

We have the signal most of the way together. These are not the best of photos since it is already dark out.

We still have to add the cross street signs to the top of the post and a little touching up on the lights. At least we now know they will work. We are expecting a post mount switch box which we will install hopefully by next weekend.

Will post better photos tomorrow after our visit to the junk lot.

Cheers!

Fantastic work! I can see that thing working in my minds eye working on some street corner like it did back in the day. Thanks for all your photos! :good:

Hi Randy,

These two flag mount lights we have been told by the junk lot guy we acquired them from use to be on the corner of Rutland Street and West 19th Street in the Houston Heights District.

Took a couple of photos this morning while there is some sun light.

We are still not done with this setup. Going to attach some cross street signs to the top of the post. Wish we could find signs for the original intersection this light stood on for many years. Will ask Joe when we go to the junk lot this morning to cull for more treasures.

Will add more later as this project continues.....

Cheers!
