Painting command lens

Postby vaughn on Sat May 25, 2013 12:21 pm

I'm sure there's a tread on here about painting cammand lens and what paint to use but I was so excited to recive my new command lens, I just used what I had. I recived a new cammand lens yesterday from a member here (thanks man) and it really made my day yesterday. So I broke out my small paint brush and had at it. I used this black oil based paint that I got from an old painter. He got the paint from Shermin williams and it takes 4-5 days to dry, good stuff. I'll need to put a second coat on it in about a week when the 1st coat dries but I'm in no rush
Thanks again to the member that sold me this lens.

Flat black :Phil: O well I'll have to live with the high gloss I put on there. I'm not sure where it came from or what signal it origianally came from but I'm thinking it'll look good in my single face CH type D set up  Is this even period correct for the CH type D

Vaughn, don't sweat the gloss, no one can tell whether it's flat, gloss or eggshell when it's in use.

I *think* the tabbed commands were used in D's. One of the CHxperts (not sure how to pronounce that) will hopefully chime in. But regardless, commands class up any sig.
