Transparent green Corning lens

Postby 3liteguy on Sat Jan 26, 2008 4:47 pm

What application does or did a transparent green (no diffusing pattern) Corning lens have. It has no model or inventory number and specifies is diameter to be 8 3/8". Was/is this a lens for a traffic signal or a railroad signal.

Definitely a railroad lens. Although, with some creative masking...WAIT, err WALK.

I've got a couple of those and I was under the impression they came from RR applications. If you cruise the RR categories of eBay, you'll see many (and different sizes too) of them there.

Hey Randy,
I have a set of those, and they're railroad lenses. I think that they're kind of nice, but I haven't found a light that I would like to put them in. I would like to see what they look like lit-up.
