Outstanding! :clapping:

I almost feel compelled to send you some USPS mail just to know my letter has passed through this time portal.

Hiya Folks,

We finally have the Letter Box mounted out front.

Could not center between the door and window due to location of wall studs. Since this box weighs 56 lbs. we had to make sure the 4 inch x 3/8 inch lag bolts had a good secure anchor point.

This page shows most of the restoration of this old letter box.

Like children..... we are now waiting for today's mail delivery and wonder if the carrier will know how to use this box.

Cheers!

Long... long... time ago! Now labeled with our name, address and a keyless latch, hopefully the mail carrier will figure it is now used for incoming mail as well. :Wink2:

Cheers!

Maybe in the top frame that now says "Hardy Hayes" you should leave the mail carrier directions on how to operate a drop box. :Phil:

I bet that mail carrier has no idea what he's putting mail into.
