Even better -- I found that I had, in fact, measured correctly, and all four holes ended up exactly where they needed to be!

I learned the hard way to avoid measuring for mounting holes. Use the cabinet itself as your template! If possible, I drill through the cabinet mounting holes with the cabinet in place on the pad. That method is idiot proof. if that's not possible, then set the cabinet in place, mark the holes on the pad, and then move it to drill. Be sure your drill bit doesn't drift!

IT'S ALI-I-I-VE!! (well, sorta...)

Today my curiosity finally got the best of me, and I decided I wanted to see something light up. Stuck an AC cord on the beast, which got me the cabinet light and fan as expected. Since there were no sparks or smoke to accompany those :good:

I went on and plugged in a Multisonics and conflict monitor, and now we gots THIS! :clapping:

even without any actual signals yet, I LIKES IT!!! :yes:

Another lovely afternoon in Little Rock, so I stole an hour or so of it to play with the BEAST. Mostly mundane stuff, I did actually unbolt the cabinet again and squeeze a big bead of sealant under it (since they're all saying its supposed to rain again...REALLY??) and also put all the loop detector amps back in place inside. And not that those actually do anything (yet?) but at least they're something to plug that dozen cables into...it sure looks way mo-better, anyways...?? :crazy:

Also did a quick experiment switching the EPAC in for the Multisonics, just to see what'd happen. Results of that would seem to indicate all works just as it should, but the EPAC doesn't appear to be programmed with as many phases/rings operating as the Multisonics does.

which is a huge reminder that I still have a WHOLE LOT to learn about multiple phases and rings and all that various controller programming... :rob:

OH WELL -- all for another day I suppose -- it is STILL a whole buncha fun to play with (and learn about!) -- all in due time, I guess!! :grin:

Your project made me decide to build rolling carts for my controller cabinets. I have toyed with the idea before but now i'm going to do it for all of them.
