Roanoke, part 2: 3M pedestrian signals at
Jefferson St & Salem Ave (links to page on my site).
At this crosswalk, there are two sections that cycle separately; one for crossing the main st, and one for crossing the side streets's slip lane.
The first one below is completely in the wrong place; it's supposed to be at the second crossing, not the first; what's the point of even having it??
The second one, on the far side from the slip lane, is theoretically in the right place. It is the signal for the second crosswalk (when coming from that side)... the only problem is, there is no signal for the first one... The slip lane crosswalk only has a ped signal facing the island; there is no signal facing the curb.
BUT, none of it matters in the end, because you can't see them no matter what! One of them has the DONT WALK burnt out, and the other has both sections burnt out.
