http://www.semex.com.mx

You'll have choose Espanol for the full site content. Among other things, conflict monitors (monitor de conflictos) seem to be optional!

We ex is the company who bought the flotsam and jetsam from Quixote selling Peek / Traconex / Multisonics.

I remember meeting with a person from Semex several years ago, when our local Traconex distributor brought the new company product manager on by. I mentioned that I was really frustrated with the Traconex line, because we could not get any factory service from Quixote. The Semex guy told me not to worry, the Traconex / Peek / Multisonics lines would be supported for a very long time. Semex had big plans for pushing those lines of traffic control in south and central America, as these proven American products were much superior to anything in those countries.

If there is a market for Traconex equipment somewhere I'm in luck. Tacoma has always been on the trailing edge of technology and its worked out well for our controller budget. With the Traconex line, we purchased controllers from OMJC at a good discount, but the better deals were from Kitsap County and the city of Kennewick that only cost us shipping. We have upgraded recently and I'm sitting on a couple pallets of controllers looking for a good home.

I just today spoke with a neighbor city east, in Idaho that uses LMD controllers asking if they would be interested in some of our spares. I offered free delivery (taking the grandkids to Silverwood) but still no interest.

I"ll hone my spanish language skills and see if I can pawn these things off.

Joe, we may have some J9's, CJ's, CJ-32's, TMM-500's, and ASC/2's that we could surplus your way in a couple of years.

Did they change their mind? The letter I got from Peek not too long ago said they wouldn't be supporting Multi's anymore because the solid state parts are more difficult to get.

From what i was told, Semex figured out that they could not get the parts to build any new controllers.

If you go onto Peek's website, the PDF's ofthe controller manuals for the TMM-500, CJ and CJ-32's are mine. Semex had no manuals, and i gave them the manuals.

I was asked by Semex at one point to send them a CJ and CJ-32 so they could reverse engineer them. Theyhad no idea of how to make their own product that they were trying to sell. This was about 3 years ago.

I think that Semex bought Quixote traffic line to get the Peek name.
