Signal Id help plz

Postby IndianaSmith on Wed Feb 01, 2012 7:24 pm

My brother picked this one up for me in Maryland. Has a cool Stop command lense in it and yellow has same small square pattern to it. Green is different altogether. Has polished aluminum reflectors.Seems cheaply made. I couldnt find any markings so I Was wondering who made this one?

Thats a Plessey signal. Its from England from the 40s or so. As far as I know it was the standard to command Stop but not the other indications. Other people can provide detailed information on it.

thanks guys, Red is the only command. I really like the exposed rivets and screws on this one is why I got it. Sorted reminder me of my Tokheim. Nice paint on that Jerry

Yes , at some point. Got too many irons in the fire for any immediate plans for it.

It looks to be in very good condition as is anyway. Do you know if it was originally black and white (as per Jerry's post)?
