Wiring a signal

Postby busman_49 on Sat Feb 16, 2013 9:11 pm

I got the wiring for this signal coming in late next week:

...and was wondering how to feed the wire to my controller. My choices:

1) remove one of the plugs and run it through the back of the slipfitter
2) drill a hole  through the pole and feed the wire out that
3) drill a hole  through the rear of the base and feed the wire through
4) prop up the base and run the wire underneath

Believe it or not, I'm leaning toward #3, but I'm open to other suggestions or ideas.

Due to the current economic condition, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off until further notice.

I'd go with #4. Use bolts on the base's bolt hold-downs to provide an airgap wide enough for the wiring.

I agree with #4 also, no holes needed and the wire is on the floor and easily hidden!!

What about taking the coverplate off of the opening and face it to the back???
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

not a bad idea... there many a signal in this area that have wires peeking out of the door half screwed on around here
