Hi Folks,

We knocked out a little bit on preparations for the RR signal today.

This is the cabinet we plan to use for housing the power supply and switch.
Installed an aluminum plate over the hole in the top of the cabinet.

Newly installed "L" brackets for shelving.

Finish coats of paint on the CH base that will go under the Eagle cabinet.
Image

Another angle of base. Post in the background with bracket frames is for another project we have going.
Image

Another look at Sondra's RR Lights.

Cheers!

Hiya Folks,

We made a little progress today....

New coat of aluminum colored paint on the control box.
Image

Even with new paint, the box still shows all it's battle scars which add to it's charactor.

Foundation with paint.
Image

Since I was having so much fun spray painting the aluminum paint, decided to touch up our gas meter.

If the weather is good tomorrow, we may start assembling Sondra's RR light and controls.

Cheers!

Afternoon Folks,

The control/power box is now set up.

Box fits nicely under the workbench.

Door Latch/lock and key provided by Vaughn Simon. Thanks Vaughn!
Image

Most of the wiring completed.
Image

Thinking of putting a 1 inch foam matt under the RR Light switch to reduce the noise it makes and prevent it from travelling on the shelf.

Still need to install a switch for the future bell we plan to place on top of the post.

Now to disassemble some of the parts from the post to make it easier to install on new foundation.

Cheers!

Hi Folks,

We Finally have Sondra's RR Light mounted!

We stripped most of the parts from the post to make it lighter and easier to move around.

This is after we placed the post on the foundation.

Mounted and in operation.

We have a lead on the correct access cover for the base and a 12 vdc RR bell to mount on top.
Plan to clean up the light and take care of some of the cosmetics. We replaced majority of the steel bolts with Stainless to prolong corrosion.

If all goes well, in a few weeks we plan to make a short video showing some of our yard ornaments in operation.

Cheers!
