Curious, what makes you think they're new, reusing old patterns? It says that it's "kopp collectible", and sold as-is, no returns.. to me, it sounds like old stock..

I came across a box of NoS a few years ago of them... kept a few for myself and the rest are now with members here!
The red/green one? I would guess Airport usage due to the item # starting with AP

Railroads - assuming you're not meaning the Red/Green one. Used in certain signals for better visibility for the engineer when he's up rather close to a signal and the fresnel would otherwise make the indication difficult to see.

I have one of the arrow lenses that I acquired years back from somewhere....do many of you paint it like you would a command lense or do you just leave it as it is with no black paint to define it? In other words, you paint the arrow or the surround area? [I always mess up my wording
