Their archived site has them available as late as 2009.... :Phil:
They also offered push buttons and totally non-NEMA electronic controllers. The pictures are all broken but I remember the controller being quite different than anything out there. Of course they also offered the traditional mechanical controller from the Sarge era.

Really I called them, 2 months ago and the girl told me 2005. But however they must have had inventory from previous years that they wanted to get rid off :good:

If they are still manufactured as of present day, then that is good to know.

In my opinion, I believe that fixed four-way traffic signals are beneficial to an extent. They do not take up a lot of space at a simple signalized intersection, and only one pair is required at such a location. Why have, let's just say, 6 individual traffic signal heads?

Today, they would be ideal at simple signalized intersections that are located in suburbs throughout the country.

I saw that. I love Merican Pickers. I called them to see if they could give me the mans number with the light but they said they would have to ask. I dont think there going to call me back though.

I was about to post a new topic on it, but then I searched and found this thread.

YES, they are still being made. I saw that screenshot on http://www.kbrhorse.net, which said along with it
One company, Teeco Safety, Inc. of Shreveport, Louisiana, still manufactures new fixed four-way signals using the tried and true Sargent-Sowell and Traffic Signals Inc. (TSI) design.

but I wasn't sure if it was outdated or not.

So I checked out their website, http://www.teecosafety.com. There was no page or mention of any traffic equipment, until I looked at the "About Us" page:
In our Traffic Division, our line of powder coated handicap pedestrian push buttons and classic four-way fixed faced signals have established a standard used by cities throughout the United States and Canada.

Spoiler:
along with
Finally, our product line is so extensive that we cannot possibly catalog every item that we carry.

Still don't get why they wouldn't show it?

I was still not sure, so I contacted them by email.

I was told that they are still offering the 4-way signal without a controller, for $1400

Thanks for your detective work. I assumed that they were out of the signal business. I had once thought of ordering a brand new 4 way from them, but I got the Singer model with controller for half that, so I'm happy.

Let me guess. They never tried to buy the traffic signal or even give it any thought? I've seen a couple of signals in other episodes and they walked right on by it. :rob:
A cop pulled me over and said, "Papers..." So I replied, "Scissors! I win!" and drove off.

Just got off the phone with Teeco and this is what the very nice gentleman on the other end informed me:

> They are still making the fixed-face 4-ways at $1,200 a pop and will sell to the public.
> They only sell them incandescent! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
> The internal mechanical controller option is no longer offered due to the company that made it going out of business. :bye:

One thousand and done. Come find me (and everybody else) at Highway Divides!
