You paint the surrounding area. The arrow is what should light up.

End of the runway lights. If your to high coming in you will see red if your at the correct height you will see green

The RED/GREEN globe is for the end of the runway. The GREEN side face the planes that are landing. The RED side faces the take off side. The mark the end of the runway.
