I got interested in traffic signals and other road related topics after doing research into the abandoned stretches of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. I'm fascinated by highway roads (and train lines) in general, and the history associated with them, especially roads that have been bypassed (and tunnels) and that ever tempting abandoned spur line that never got completed and you want to know where it goes when you walk it.
My first and latest acquisition from a Traffic Signal point of view is an older generation (one of the last perhaps to use incandescent bulbs) traffic signal that I rewired to use the old block terminals.
I enjoy taking rides down unknown roads and comparing traffic signs and their history as well. I'm currently living in Buck County PA.
That's all I can think of for now.
