EM, NEMA, whatever - if it controls a traffic signal, you can talk about it here.

Exactly. But it doesn't really matter - I asked about an in-person pickup, and he denied.

I noticed that the auction has been re-listed, but without the picture with the serial number.

And they magically moved to Waldorf, which admittedly isn't too far away... It also went up $100. Weird.

This guy is looking to make a fast buck. The buyer will be sorry big time and will be prosecuted for receiving stollen property. It is a"Class D"felony for receiving stollen state assets in most states.

I find the 'receiving stolen property' law interesting and though I don't like it, I do understand the need for it. If the party involved genuinely has no idea what they are buying is stolen, it seems a bit harsh to punish them for it unless it can be proven that they knew it was stolen. I'm more surprised the authorities have not moved on this yet.

Unless a bidder reads this thread, he could not be expected to know that they were stolen, as controllers are on ebay all the time for sale. I think the language is "..Knew or should have known..." In this case the only thing known for certain is the seller is nuts to think he can get that much money for them.
