Who's running the show???

EM, NEMA, whatever - if it controls a traffic signal, you can talk about it here.

3 Boxes! All new. I think the one on the pole close right is for the Penndot PTZ, the one on the right far is a splice box (mabye), and the monster on the hill to the right is running the show/master for the area.

Steve- yes and no.

Matt- knowing penndot I wouldn't be shocked if there's a Lights-to-Go! In the biggest of the cabinets.

Default is cutaway... At least in Region 6

Ian, 202 Parkway is back one intersection, this is "old 202" so there was a LOT of work that happened around here

From my experience - I would guess 1 for the controller and master, 1 for the battery backup/UPS and 1 for the Traffic surviellance camera?

What do you think of the new 202 "Parkway"? Black signals & all Rythym Adaptive along there......

All black is odd... it works but is odd.

The Rythym must be neutered a bit... it seems a bit sluggish to respond, there are major gaps where signals could be cycling, but they aren't

I have a similar conundrum here: https://maps.google.com/?ll=45.526562,- ... .26,,1,5.4

No idea why they needed two.

I'm going to venture a guess... one is ITS cam, one is signals, or battery vault/ups & signals... no idea what the skinny air pump thingy is....

Then again it could be for all the extra cameras! 3 out of the 4 approaches has 2 cameras: http://goo.gl/maps/DjXMI

Washington County loves to go overboard on cameras for some reason but it still hasn't fixed their adoration for putting the recall phase detection zone twenty feet from the stop line so unless you're right there, you'll get stopped for a car 300 feet from the line on the cross street phase. :glare:

Whenever I am in Manhattan in New York, I usually come across quite a lot of signalized intersections that use multiple cabinets for general security cameras and what not, in which these are present as well.

Some of them are blank, while others have the famous 'TRAFFIC CONTROL NEW YORK CITY" label stamped on them, which I suppose makes it easier to tell what exactly is associated with D.O.T. traffic control.
