Hello all,

Stumbled across these forums while researching a few pieces of New York history and realized I shared a common interest with many of the members here--had to join on! Hope to enjoy the forums and learn a little more about the traffic devices of my city and other cities around the world. Have a good one, everybody.

Best,
MHV9218

Hey there. Seems like you'll fit in nicely, and welcome to the forums. I'm not the most qualified person to say this but it seems like everyone here is really great, you'll like it here if you stick around. Do you own any signals or signs?

Not much -- just a single street sign that I relatively recently purchased and am doing my best to clean up a little. I'll have to get a photo up soon, but it's a porcelain number from the 1910-20s for 113th Street and Lexington Avenue (an intersection which hasn't existed for 70 years thanks to some Housing Authority projects). Hoping to add some signals and some more signs in the next few years, however.

Welcome to the forums. Glad you found us. I originally grew up on Staten Island in New York City, and I lived there for 17 years. I share an interest in New York City's vintage traffic control devices as well, and I enjoy to collect mainly vintage street signs from there.

Make yourself at home. I look forward to see you here.
