Got everything taken apart and salvaged all the good parts, the bottom went on my other Eagle. The base is the main reason I bought this light.

A few of the parts were traded to another member that needed them for a beacon that they are getting ready to restore.

Here are some pic's of what I plan on doing with some of the rest of the parts, including the base without the flange that I took off of the signal in the above picture.

With a little work, this should be a nice beacon. I believe that the original color was black, so that's what I'll paint the beacon.

That looks nice Jerry, painting it black will make it look different than it's big brother. ;)

Mark, what finish black? flat, satin, gloss? Mine orig paint Eagle is weather beaten down to a satin-flat, OT what about yours? Guess it all depends on the final look you are after, brand new or other...

I was thinking a satin finish would look best, if it had repro visor's I would consider a gloss finish. Every one of the visor's on this light had to be worked back into shape. I think the satin finish would help hide some of the imperfections.
