I've finished installing an online CHAT system. You can access it from the main page at the bottom of the screen, or directly by going to this link: http://forums.signaltraffic.com/chat.php.

The above link is always available from the main menu under the Forum option:

The names of people logged into the board and with a Chat channel open (able to see the chat dialog) are listed to the right of the chat window. The colors directly to the left of those names indicate the person's status.
RED=Has not chatted at all
YELLOW=Chatted earlier but dormant for at least five minutes
GREEN=Has posted something in the Chat window within the last five minutes.

For now the CHAT is visible to anyone including GUESTS (people not logged in and non-members), so try not to divulge any state secrets.

Eventually I'm going to change it so that only logged in members can view it.

Made some changes today to the chat system:
- Added smilies
- Added BBCodes ('B'old, 'i'talics, 'Quote', etc..)
- Changed the chat history from 26 to 75 at a time
- Changed the default chat window size to 400 pixels tall
- Changed the default chat box window size to 600 pixels tall
- Broke the 'Online List' automatic update. :cry:

Also added some new BBCodes:
- THINK
- SPOILER
