Nice acquisitions.

I came across that Holland tunnel sign on Ebay several weeks ago. It was nice, but it was way above my budget. Anyway, enjoy it. :good:


By the way, just out of curiosity, is that second sign original? I never saw that one in particular on the road.

As far as I know, the Triborough Bridge sign is original. I too have never seen one like that on the road, but I've seen them in pictures. That is the shape and color scheme. The person I got it from said the original owner took it when he retired (assuming from the Triborough Bridge & Tunnel Authority). This type would have been pole mounted at the ends of the bridge, but it was never mounted and sat in this person's garage for quite some time.

Couple more signs added to the collection...

NY State Route 30 - the first style of NY route shields late 20s/early 30s; the "mini" shield (thanks to EdT. for the heads up :thumbsup: )

Was looking at the New York Av. sign when it was up originally. Nice Town of Smithtown issue.
