Thanks guys!

Comparing it to a DuraSig, the signal is about par in quality...I mean the visors technically ARE DuraSig/LFE visors. My Intelight is much thicker and sturdier.

When I was bringing the box down stairs I actually heard clanking around and I was

Turns out either all the wingnuts fell off...or they weren't attached. The wingnuts and washers had to be reinstalled on all the sections.

I also need to tighten down the section bolts when you lift it up the sections split apart a bit.

The goal right now is to get a shorter pipe stand and mount it where my long fin Eaglelux is now, low enough so it won't be in the way of the flatback in the corner The Eaglelux will move near the 12" DuraSig ped on a mini stand.

That's a scary moment whenever you get a box. Sounds about typical for the Mexican assembly plants though. AMT used to have horrible QC issues with their plastics supplier...enough they moved production back to the USA then to China.

What surprised me with the shipping is that NOTHING had bubble wrap or any form of protection other then it being fit into a cardboard sleeve of sorts and then put into the box. I could easily see these getting bounced around and cracked. You could slide the whole unit when the box was moved around. :Phil:

My old Durasig was shipped in its original Siemens box the same way, it wasn't damaged at all either. Miracles.

Must be a common thing with the manufacturers..

Here is a pic from earlier tonight, all 3 doors open...

The black box to the left of the red light power supply box is actually the heat sink. Tiny and internal, and only one for the entire head. I liked that feature over the Intelight's huge heat sinks on the back of each section

Nick, my TCT came in its original box and it was shipped just jammed in there, no padding at all. In fact the top of the red visor still has rub marks on the paint where it made contact with the inside of the box. That's of very little concern to me as it now hangs from the ceiling joist in the garage and can't be seen at all. The truth remains that even the people who make these things are hardly worried about any minor cosmetic damage that may occur during shipping, unlike most new cars that now come wrapped in more plastic than Pamela Anderson.

Pics from the process of fitting it in today and wiring up. Its definitely bright!!

It's going in a tight corner so to open the doors the visors have to come off...

Some people asked me to post pics of the LED engine lit with the door open, so here is the green. Very bright!!
