Dumbest. Question. Ever.

Postby coyttl on Fri Feb 01, 2013 1:47 pm

I'm reassembling my doghouse.

Are the two of the bottom four lights put in upside down, so that they open the other way? It wasn't assembled that way, but it makes sense, makes it easier to get into.

I would think if you were keeping it indoors, it won't matter which way its put. Of coarse it may not matter outdoors eather...

Actually I believe this is done in the field too to facilitate easy access.

Look at this light install. You can see that they installed the three section 'upside down' as opposed to the left turn arrows.

It's done both ways in the field, I've seen the two styles mixed in one intersection. Needless to say the last time I saw someone working on a doghouse with all the sections aligned the traditional way they had the visors off the right hand sections so that could actually open them far enough to work.

Sounds like it makes sense to have them open away from each other. I'd go for it...

Thanks guys.
I'm going to try it. Dave pointed out to me this morning that depending on the brand and the mounting hardware, it may not be possible. So now that I have the whole thing cleaned out (I'm debating whether to take it in and get it powder coated), I'll do it that way if I can.

If they ordered the doors and wingnuts on the other side then ALL the sections could be right side up........ :Phil:
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.
