Triffic Light branded "ROME"

Postby silverjus on Fri May 06, 2011 1:45 pm

In Rome, the city is installing traffic lights with LEDs
"branded", with the emblem of the city below. A
rarity for collectors!

Eh eh, unfortunately the lights "Rome" are not commercially  . However, I am sure that these lights are LED lights. "Rome" is not the brand, but the symbol of the city :the signal's brand may be "SCAE". They are very similar to FUTURIT FUTURA . They exist also in anonymous version with brand "SCAE".

They are definitely green moulded LED Futura heads, there's no doubt about that. I know my way round a Futura quite well now - they're being prototyped for the British market now with backing boards, they were on display at TraffEx2011.

I like the Rome city emblem being placed on the lanterns. I'd like to see the Liverpool emblem placed on our heads, but there's no where to put any identity plaques!

Perhaps SCAE is the concessionaire for SWARCO's products in Italy ... I don't know, but I think I have seen a similar signal with SCAE brand... It would be nice to know something specific about this !
