Small signal hunt today

Postby freebrickproductions on Sat Sep 28, 2013 8:14 pm

First, I went to the incandescent Eagle(Siemens) beacons around Grissom High School.

After that I went to the intersection of Airport Road and Whitesburg Drive where there is a fiberoptic blank-out sign. The intersection has mostly Winkomatic traffic lights with one Siemens traffic light and ICC pedestrian Ssgnals.

Then I went to the intersection of Queensbury Drive and Airport Road to take a look at a newly installed pedestrian signal. I first thought it was a McCain (that's what one of the workers who was there told me it was), but as it turns out, it was actually made by Peek!

This intersection also uses mostly Winkomatic traffic lights with one Siemens doghouse signal.

Then I went to the intersection of Todd Mill Road and Weatherly Road.

Then I went to Weatherly Road and Bailey Cove Road. This intersection has all Siemens traffic lights with ICC peds.

It looks like this ped is starting to get worn out:

The last place I went to was the Singer Double Beacon at Weatherly Road and Valley Lane.

That's all for today! Nothing interesting, but I though I'd share.

The first set-up that is in regards to the school beacons is neat.

I don't see that kind of set-up for school beacons, since what I see here are commonly attached to pedestals. Very interesting without no doubt. Thanks for sharing that.

Seeing mast set-ups in Huntsville for school beacons is the second most common way of seeing them. The most common is seeing them hung on span wires. The least common is seeing them mounted on cantilevers (like the ones I photographed). There are about 5 of those set-ups in Huntsville.

Nobody around here shows the countdown phase through the 'walk', only for the clearance. Heck, even when I had a Dialight countdown module, I couldn't get it to do that for some reason.

The Singer double beacon with the 12" yellow arrows is different!!!
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

I'm guessing they are blanks... or something like that.
