Let's see examples of YIELD signs...

Postby SirMarbelot on Wed Aug 25, 2010 11:38 am

OK, I know we have a "Let's see your rare signs" thread, but why not break it out?

I just got this in trade with Ed, and I love it. It's a large, steel embossed Yield, measuring about about 34" on a side. The back is painted black. It has an unusual font. The bottom screw hole is actually painted over...

Any thoughts?

Here's my lousy phone snapshot (sorry, the camera is temporarily out of commission.

All I can say is that I'd feel a little better about not having that sign if it weren't stamped...

And Francis, yours looks really early with that "blocky" font. Neat!

The contemporary red Yield signs look very European to me, come to think of it.

Fred, the truncated (4-sided) yield is sweet as honey. For absolute good looks, I'd go with yours. The one I have has a more clumsy look, if you will, though I dig it too.

Francis,

I have one just like yours. It is rather heavy, and not my brother, but I dig the sign.

The amount of drool which has been secreted by my salivary glands is unYIELDing.
