SSC beacon...my next restoration project.

Postby Easy on Fri Aug 24, 2012 6:06 pm

Here's my next restoration project! :clapping: I never knew these things were so heavy! This beacon is nothing like any other of my beacons...the acorn nuts are huge. This thing is awesome.... I can't wait to get started on it. I'll be asking in here for parts as I need, and have the funds for them. The first thing that I will need are 4 repro visors from Steve the " repro visor man. " If anyone has any reflectors for it please shoot me a PM with your asking price or what you want in trade. :hello:

I want to thank the member that sold it to me!

I took out the socket for the sign so it wouldn't break when I sat the beacon down. You're right it is original to the light. It looked like it was added on later, but it came from the factory with the socket.

Thanks again Dee...... I really appreciate it! :good: , and remember " The check's in the mail ." :rotfl:
Spoiler:
I've been telling that to Fred for the last 2 years, and he keeps buying it every time... I wonder how long it's going to take him to figure out that he's never going to get paid.

BTW

This was the beginning of my AGA/SSC resto project and it shows various parts and pieces that were underway before a little divorce got in the way.

Also see Mashjax's resto which was supreme.

Dee..Easy only pays in taco's which can get a bit greasy if you don't get your mail right away.

Jerry, I've never seen any SSC visors, but I think that Dee cut these out of beer cans. They're super thin, and dinged up. I was going to have them re rolled, but they are just to thin.

Randy, There's no need to use bad words such as " revoke " I said that the check was in the mail. :Wink2:

Or the Dialight LEDs would have been cool too....
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.
