I haven't been a member for as long as most of you have, but I must say I've enjoyed my time here and this is one cool web forum. I'm glad i got to meet some people who share an interest of mine and I'm also friends with some of you on Facebook and Flickr and if the board does shut down, I'm glad I'll be able to continue talking to you all elsewhere.

Ed, let's talk. I have server space. I've never hosted a forum before, but maybe you can give me some insight as to what is involved.
Peace!

DANG!!, Ed. Is this because we take you for granted and that you will be here for ever? Kind of reminds me of the devastating news when SignalFan moved. Believe me Ed you have done a great service to all of us who are on this site either as contributors or just lurkers. We are all smarter now and have more in our collections because of this site. All of us, I sure hope that some other brave soul steps up to save the day, just like Mighty Mouse would have. Also hopping that you don't just disappear, you have much info in your head to share. :beg:

My first reaction was  like everyone else.
It sounds like a new STF will be up soon though :beg:

That being said:

Ed,

Thanks for allowing all of us a ride on this trip,
I have learned a lot about signals (Enough to acquire a NEMA cabinet  , something I never would have thought about before) ,added quite a few signals from deals with STF members  and have been to three OSM's  . It's been a great four years for me with my signal & sign collections.
Thanks again,
Tim in St Louis :hello:

No matter what Randy and Francis have told me about you, I only believe about 90% of it, so you're still in the top 10% of the bottom In my book. Seriously, THANKS EDT.!!!
If I can ever finish the restoration, it's going to look more like it used to than it ever did.

Sorry to hear that Ed. As i know from my own experiences over the last couple of years, sometimes, a labor of love somehow transitions into simply labor and you really want to move on to something more fun while you can still enjoy it....

Between this forum and the AARoads, i met some pretty fun guys (and gals) who like roads, signs and the oddities that make driving on a road trip so much fun!

Hopefully someone with fresh idea can set up shop elsewhere and let us know the new hide-out!

Thank you Ed for your service and dedication. Few here truly understand what it takes to run a forum, but I know from experience.

For those that are looking for a new home to continue this crazy adventure, we have set up http://HighwayDivides.com for your continued enjoyment! And don't forget your towel!
