"Like" Button

Postby Gasignals on Wed Sep 05, 2012 4:32 pm

Was just wondering if there was a way to put a "Like" button, or similar device on post ?? Sometimes I enjoy what I read but do not want to reply., IE don't have time, etc.

That would give the forums a Facebook like feel. Some might like it and others probably would not. I know I am tempted sometimes to reply in the third person as I do on Facebook a lot, but it wouldn't work here.

I think it would add something here. A lot of folks that would not/could not/don't want to, respond to a post would use it. A lot of times one might really like the post but have nothing to contribute to the thread. Give it a 90 day trial run and see if it gets used. If not just back it out.

I don't see the point of a "like" button....we have a few thumbs up smileys we can choose from which mean the same thing...without extra coding.

Besides just "liking" something would prevent alot of good discussion

I don't "like" the idea, but then again, I don't "like" Facebook. It would be nice to be able to save or watch certain posts which interest us though without having to reply.
