First, you'll need to borrow one that I can make a copy of. What brand of base do you have? There were Tuckers, Eagles, CH, etc., etc. There might have been different versions too. I would need to see it.

Second, if I can pour your cover when I am working on something else, I can keep your cost down. Casting is labor intensive and firing up the furnace to melt aluminum for one part is neither efficient nor cheap. I have learned that the foundry charges more so for their labor rather than the aluminum since I have been casting myself at home. The cost of the aluminum is relatively nothing on small parts like your door. Can you wait until the weather gets a little warmer?
