Someone mentioned the restoration forum, and the only reason I posted this here instead of just assuming that everyone uses the restoration forum because, well, my project for example, isn't "restoration" - I know nothing about these controllers, etc, and my 'project' is to reproduce an intersection that used to be along my old railroad. So my 'project' would be slowly learning and obtaining the items needed to get that intersection.
I dunno how many others would consider things like this a 'project', if I'm the only one then perhaps the forum isn't needed.
