Macsignals wrote:John- I do agree with you there, most of the car forums I look at have a projects section like you describe. Open to all to post on the threads (unless one gets 150% derailed, then the mods lock it until the OP has an update. Shouldn't be a problem here.)

Someone mentioned the restoration forum, and the only reason I posted this here instead of just assuming that everyone uses the restoration forum because, well, my project for example, isn't "restoration" - I know nothing about these controllers, etc, and my 'project' is to reproduce an intersection that used to be along my old railroad. So my 'project' would be slowly learning and obtaining the items needed to get that intersection.

I dunno how many others would consider things like this a 'project', if I'm the only one then perhaps the forum isn't needed.

If your doing a controller related project, have questions, or just need help with a controller, use the Signal Controller forum. People will visit there an surely be able to help you out. If there is something specific that you need in terms of parts, post that in the Wanted forum.

No offense meant! I don't know anyone's names yet, nor their .. er.. driving idiosyncrasies. ..I just pulled names out of the air that I remember seeing as I scanned threads. :)

Now what are the chances of someone pulling Fred out of thin air.

I think all it will do is end up starting another thread to ask questions about the thread you can't comment on. In turn, we'll end up linking the two and have to jump back and forth between the two threads to see what is going on or what we're talking about. :cash:
