Could you just polish it up real good and clear coat it ??? Darley's look best unpainted (IMO)

Nice signal...you lucky dog! :hyper: :tease:
Be careful and don't scratch that table.... :2Cool:

Here are two different Silver colors. The can on left is Sherwin Williams "Chrome Aluminum" Bar Code 140-0530.
The can on the right is "Dull Aluminum" Krylon Bar Code 1403..also sold at Sherwin Williams.
Pictures of Darleys using each paint. 1st Darley "Chrome Aluminum" 2nd Darley "Dull Aluminum". :2Cool:

If you get to much gloss or shine you can always lightly steel wool and tone it down. :tease:

You guys are not making it any easier! :panic: :panic: :panic:

Polishing sounds like it might work. I'm going to see how much it will cost to polish it out. On the other had the second light on Chris's pictures looks pretty good, but so do the yellow, and blacks.

Maybe I should paint it pink?

I know it's not factory but paint it Hyper blue  If I were you I'd paint any other color but what would have come out of the factory. Look, Darley's isn't your favorite light to begin with so now is the time to make it your own. I'd suggest something from the energetic color from the Sherman Williams paint swatch. This way, as soon as you walk into your collection the Darley will pop out at you and you'll say "Man, I really like Darleys, I should have gotten this a long time ago". It'll stand out from the rest.

Paint it RED like I did to my MarkIV!!

BUT SERIOUSLY...I gotta vote for an 'aluminum-ish' overall appearance for it, as well. Especially since it appears to have always been that way. If you're finding the various metallic (etc) paints to be generally too bright, how about a nice plain (medium-toned) machine gray??

Can't wait to see what you eventually do with it, and that flasher, too...???!!!!

Man, haven't seen that one for a while. That looks more like a MARCUS XVIII!

Whatever you prefer, Easy, but I would like to see what it looks like polished.

I really like the yellow and black of Steve's Darley. But I don't think you can go wrong with the standard bare aluminum look either.
