I think the six-face mounting was a factory option from C-H - I think I saw it in one of the catalogs before, but obviously it's quite rare.

That was an option. You could get 1-6 way configurations. There was 2 styles of middle hubs. One with 4 directions to make 2 and 4 way clusters. The other was a 6 way hub to make 3, 5, or 6 way clusters. The hardware on the bottom we nicknamed wagon wheel hardware. you can put 2-6 arms in it. they also made longer arms to meet Michigan and other municipalitie specs.
