I think your referring to the Eagle 2070 unit with SE-PAC (the software used on EPACs) installed.

I'm pretty good with my Eagle NEMAs...but a 170 EPAC would be a new one for me!!

I know! They had a limited series of programming on a 412B/412C module back in the 90's.It was suppose to be adaptable with an existing 332 cabinet.Maybe Dee might remember this operation.California did not use this program.Georgia,Virginia, and one of the Carolinas used this version.

I don't see how you could have a 170 version of the EPAC software...it is menu driven versus the code based programming of 170s...I'll have to see pictures of the controller.

I think the idea is that you have the same options/functionality as EPAC, but without the menu structure. You've probably never looked at Wapiti W4IKS on a 170 versus, say, BiTrans, but they are completely different; even the status display indications are different, not to mention the locations of various values and functions, and the functionality itself.

I got my hands on one of those 412C cards. It went by the name of "MAGNUM" I'll post some photos of it soon...

As far as a TRUE complete Eagle 170.....

I would love to see a photo, or get my hands on an Eagle/Automatic Siganl 170. I've NEVER touched, nor seen a picture of one. I started scratching my head about an Eagle 170 the day I read the CalTrans Qualified Product List for traffic controllers : http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/traffops/elecsys/reports/QPLNovember72012.pdf You'll see the model/part number...but in my experience dealing with 170s here in Cali, I've never seen one.

THEN one day, I got my hands on a box of used GDI400 modems and was suprised to find a CPU, Input, and output card for a 170 included! The CPU card looks to support running the application with out a 412c card, and has the ability to provide (4) Serial ports; So it's a true 170E.

As anyone ever seen one???? They must be really rare...
