I can't speak for the D because it came already spraypainted green by Joe C, but the Type M four way I have came in original condition and all the visors were yellow underneath as well...although quite faded.

That looks terrific, Nick. You have a marvelously blended collection of old and modern represented in your collection. I like it a lot!

Interesting ? about the insides of the visors. Was flat black always an option, or was one color the universal practice back in the day? Or, was it more or a regional thing? I have never found anything that has originated here in California which was not flat black inside the visors.

The inside was the same color as the outside

I remember finding one old GE highway Head in Toronto years ago that still had visors with yellow on the inside. Can't find that now though.
