This is the new member sandbox. Until you post a little something about yourself here, you don't get to play on the rest of the board. So tell us a little something about yourself and your signals.

Hi folks--new to this board but a lifelong traffic light guy. Recently moved from Pittsburgh to Fort Mill and definitely missing the nostalgic old signals from back home. (It's rare to find anything but relatively new polycarbs down here). I do own one signal but haven't moved it down yet (I have an old Crouse-Hinds 12" that I still need to hook up to my Lights to Go controller).

Hoping to catch up with fellow signal enthusiasts here. I have liked signals since I was old enough to know what they are and even had a traffic signal cake for my birthday and always looked for traffic signal clothing as a young child. (Best thing I had were my sign and signal Keds sneakers when I was three, still have them in my attic back up north).

:welcome: :hello: :welcome:
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

Pittsburgh is one of those places that had (still has?) a great variety of old signals, and even better, has a lot of good photographs of them online. :good:

Welcome!!

Welcome!

:hello:

Does Pittsburgh still have alot of older 8 inch signals mounted on the corners of the intersections? Last time I was there its seemed like there were signals in use that dated back to the 60's maybe even the 50's.
