I have an econolite type F cabinet which was repainted by the previous owner, but the paint is not super durable and I want to go with a new shade anyway. What are my best options for prep? I was thinking of sanding it a bit, then primer and paint. Not yet sure if I'm going spray or brush just yet. Any advice?

My first concern was your comment "not durable". However you decide to remove the paint, sanding, stripping, or blasting the old paint sounds like it should go at any rate. Sometimes if the paint is a latex variety it will will strip right off in sheets. To get it down to the base, blasting may be in order, then come back with some selective sanding to smooth. What color you changing it to? and remember....we want to see picts!

Thanks! Time and money won't allow for blasting but I would guess the original paint is still all right, so if I said down the existing green paint and prime it I figured the new paint should hold up to the elements... I hope!
