Great job, Keith. It was fantastic to watch this thread grow as your restoration project progressed successfully.

The final product looks great, and I have to say that the Eagle on the top really looks nice. It is a rather interesting piece that you included to this Crouse-Hinds four-way.

Hiya Folks,

Finished with the hard wiring today. Missed our opportunity to take some video earlier this evening before dark.

Steven, we thought the Eagles on top of the signals would be cool and make for good eye candy. We set the 4-way up semi-permanently for our enjoyment since we are outside in the back yard 90% of our awake time. When we take some video, will do a short tour of the yard.

Tim, I have to dig up the specifications for the LEDs. The ones we purchased use 5.7 watts and are about 4 inches in length including the base. Will take some photos soon.

This has been an interesting project and we have learned some history of traffic signaling while restoring the two CHs. Never thought we would still be working on the CH 4-way after four months. A lot of little parts that were somewhat tedious to clean. Overall, we have enjoyed the whole experience.

Cheers!

Awesome traffic signal! Looks great in your yard!
A cop pulled me over and said, "Papers..." So I replied, "Scissors! I win!" and drove off.

Hi Steve,

The web site where I have my photos is down right now. May be going through periodic maintenance... Should be back up and online later today.

Cheers!

It works fine on my end; I don't know what might have caused it though.
I am a railfan, signalfan, and I'm interested in tornado sirens. I hope to learn new things about traffic lights because I'm interested in them and don't know much about them.
