My father built some sort of paint booth in his garage to paint some items, and it has some sort of fan to draw the overspray. Maybe I need to ask for more details??

That is the ONLY way I would use any Ace rattlecans!

Geez, I was in the barn the other day and shot something real quick with a rattle can  I won't do it again, thanks for the heads up.

Lol... I did this a few times:

Stopped doing it when then dryer ended up yellow!

Here's a good example of the haze Ace SBY leaves behind:

I have to repaint the signals outback this year and there won't be any Ace paint used since the Ace SBY on my 12-8-8 LFE and the Hunter Green on my 8" Mark IV have failed miserably after two years outside.

I agree. ACE SBY is NOT the paint to use on a signal that will be displayed outside!

There are many options out there, can anyone suggest a good brand/color name of paint for this project? This will be a rattle can paint job, so the colors may be somewhat limited. If you could post some pictures for example's, that would be great!!

Thanks for your help!!

ACE hardware brand School Bus Yellow is my favorite rattle can yellow for signals. It is EXTREMELY messy because it sprays finer than most spray paints, but I think it is worth it.

Jerry,

The NOS Eagle Mark IV's that I have seem to have just a touch of orange in the color, would that color be what they call Federal Yellow? The SBY in your picture seems to be a bright yellow with no orange tint.
