Picked up the media-blasted DT parts today and they look great! I can't wait to get them powdercoated but that will rest entirely upon (A) the powder getting here and (B) me receiving Steve's reproduction visors. Patience may be a virtue but it's annoying at times.

I'm in the same boat as you, as I am patiently awaiting the return of my DT tunnel visors along with several other visors from Steve before I start painting signals. Sounds like we are keeping him plenty busy!!!

Well after some delay, the body and doors will go to the powder coater tomorrow! :clapping: Steve is still waiting on outside forces so the signal body itself will be reassembled piecemeal as parts arrive as the replacement lens gaskets and all hardware is also inbound. I don't think I'll have this ready for the new year but at least we're past the halfway mark! :good:

Picked up the coated body and doors today!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Sadly they ran out of powder so the interior has a semi-unfinished look which I quite like plus I would have scratched it up with the rods during assembly so I'm going to leave it. Also, due to my dad being absent-minded, the rods failed to make it into the coating booth so they, too will remain bare. To be honest with you, I really like the look of the bare nuts  against the dark green.

Enough talk....feast your eyes on the signal as it sits right now. I've used original hardware in the red section as an homage to the way it was while all other sections will receive new hardware; whenever Jay ships it. :tease:

Testing my patience going back together. :rob:

With a little help from an extra set of hands, I finally got it to this point.

Fully assembled with the red door on.

That color really makes it. It's so much better than anything you can get out a rattle can. Great looking restoration.
