Lintern Signals

Postby somuchtoseeanddo on Sun Sep 01, 2013 5:23 pm

This company has a long and interesting history. They were founded in 1892, are still around and headquartered in Mentor, Ohio, and it appears their entry into signal lights began in 1936 when they began production of signal lights for street cars and transit cars. See the attached page which was updated in 2010, and indicates they still make the signals which pop up from time-to-time.

Anyone have any other experiences with this company? They mostly seem to make compressors, motors, and systems for air conditioning. The signal thing seems as obscure as Singer's making signals.

I'm pretty sure McMaster sells those glow lights.
I'm so old I remember when the word "mother" only had one meaning!!!

I do like the idea of having a 3-color signal attached to my thermostat....
